I’m Heather Emerich, LCSW, a therapist who specializes in working with ADHD adults, especially women and engineers. I’ve been a therapist since 2011, and since 2020 I’ve focused my practice on adults with ADHD. I’m also late‑diagnosed with ADHD, so I understand firsthand what it’s like to suddenly see your past, your struggles, and your strengths through a new lens.

Over the years, I’ve heard so many bright, caring people call themselves “lazy,” “messy,” “too emotional,” or “too much.” Often what’s really happening is ADHD, chronic burnout, and a nervous system that’s been in survival mode for a long time. My work is about helping you relate to yourself with more clarity and compassion, while also building a life that actually works for your brain.

In our sessions, you can expect:

  • non‑judgmental, neurodivergent‑affirming space where you don’t have to perform or pretend
  • Practical, realistic strategies for time, tasks, and follow‑through that respect how your brain works
  • Space to work with burnout, shame, and self‑criticism, not just surface‑level productivity tips
  • A collaborative process—we’ll experiment, check in on what’s helping, and adjust as we go

I provide online therapy for adults in Colorado, Minnesota, and Florida, so you can meet from home, your office, or wherever you feel most comfortable
